Welcome to the home of Pinnacle Trikes where we build, and race, high speed affordable pedal trikes.
2008 saw the commercial introduction of our X1 series fairing for race trikes as well as several improvements in our race frames that have resulted in better acceleration without losing any of the top-end speed we were already known for. This was most evident when one of our riders broke the lap record at round 2 of the Australian International Pedal Prix's Super Series in Adelaide by 12 seconds!
During the year we've experimented with differing materials in the construction of our fairings, and whilst not everything worked as well as we'd hoped, the lessons learnt with building with hybrid carbon/kevlar composites proved beneficial.
Each year we aim to sponsor a school at the annual Maryborough (VIC) RACV Energy Breakthrough event as a way of giving something back to the event that started our passion for building, riding and racing recumbent trikes. In 2008 the beneficiaries of our sponsorship were:
- Bendigo Catholic College who ran two of our race frames paired with two loaned kevlar fairings (pictured right). We also welded up a fairing support frame for their 3rd vehicle.
- Padua College from Melbourne raced our latest top of the range Aero race frame, and a composite fibreglass/carbon fairing.
- Damascus College from Ballarat raced the previous model race frame with a kevlar fairing.
Our web site is just in its infancy at this point in time, please check back regularly over the coming months for much more information on our growing range of everything trikes!
